DEUS
God is a good God who cares about people (1 Peter 5:7). He is not angry with mankind but has proved His eternal love for sinful people by sending His only Son Jesus to die in their place (John 3:16), through Whom they now may find peace with a Holy God (Romans 5:1). Jesus revealed God as a good and loving Father who is love (Matthew 6:9 / 1 John 4:8).
A SANTIDADE DA VIDA
We believe that life is sacred having come from God the source of all life. The sanctity of life is one of the pillars of Gods kingdom. We believe that a child in the womb is not an inanimate thing, simply subject to procedure or choice but a living human person for whom God has a destiny and purpose (Jeremiah 29:11 / Psalm 139:13-16). Consequently we must speak up for all human life, whether unborn or not.
A GRANDE COMISSÃO
God has made us His ambassadors to represent Him before a lost and hurting world (2 Corinthians 5:17-21 / Matthew 28:18-20) to which we are to share His love (Luke 10:29-37).
A BÍBLIA
The Bible is God’s Holy inspired Word to mankind, which can be trusted at all times. Holy men spoke and wrote these Words as they were inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is our guide in all areas relating to everyday life (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Thessalonians 2:13/ 2 Peter 1:21).
A DIVINDADE (TRINDADE)
There is one true God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Mark 12:29, 1 John 5: 6 – 8). JESUS CHRIST is perfect Deity and perfect humanity (John 3:18; Mark 2: 27 – 28) - Born of the Virgin Mary: (John 3:16) - His sinless life (1 Peter 2:22) - His miracles (Acts 10:38) - His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) - His bodily resurrection (Ephesians 1:20) - His Ascension to the right hand of the Father (Ephesians 1:20) - His personal return in power and glory (1 Thessalonians 4:13 -18) - His Millennial reign (Revelation 19:11-16 / 20:1-7)
HOMEM, SUA QUEDA E REDENÇÃO
- God created man in His likeness and image (Genesis 1:26), but through the sin and fall of Adam sin came into the world. The Bible says “… all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,” and “… There is none righteous, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10, 23). - Jesus Christ, Gods only begotten Son, was born to destroy the works of the devil and shed His blood, dying in order to purchase and restore man back to God (1 Peter 1:18,19 / Romans 5:14 / 1 John 3:8). - Salvation is God’s gift to man obtained by grace through faith in Jesus Christ separate from all works and the law. (Ephesians 2:8-10).
A VIDA ETERNA E O NOVO NASCIMENTO
Man must first repent of his sins before he can be saved. Jesus Christ said that all men must be born again and that this new birth would produce eternal life (2 Corinthians 7:10 / John 3:3-5 / 1 John 5:12). Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the new birth (Galatians 4: 4-7).
BATISMO NA ÁGUA
Baptism in water is by immersion, in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus commanded us to make disciples and then to baptise them (Matthew 28:19). Baptism symbolises that birth, death and resurrection of Christ and the believers identification with Him. (Matthew 28:19 / Romans 6:4 / Colossians 2:12 / Acts 8:36-39).
BATISMO NO ESPÍRITO SANTO
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a promise for all believers today. This gift can and should be received after salvation and empowers believers for God’s holy service. Jesus Christ Himself is the baptiser in the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:11). The gospel is to be propagated by the power of the Holy Spirit, who alone has the power to convict sinners. The initial evidence of this experience is speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself (a person not a thing) gives utterance (Matthew 3:11; John 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:38,39; Acts 19:1-7; Acts 2:1-4).
SANTIFICAÇÃO
The New Testament says “without holiness no man can see the Lord“. We believe in Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, starting at the new birth and continuing until the consummation of salvation when Christ returns (Hebrews 12:14; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; 2 Peter 3:18; 2 Corinthians. 3:18; Philippians 3:12-14; 1 Corinthians 1:30).
CURA DIVINA
Sickness and disease have come upon humanity because of sin and death (Romans 5:12). Satan, not God is the source of sickness, but Jesus came to destroy his works by bringing life and health (1 John 3:8). Jesus Christ bore the curse of sickness upon Himself at the cross in order that we would be healed. He has commanded that all New Testament believers lay hands on the sick in faith and obedience to His Word that all can be healed (Mark 16:15-18; James 5:14,15; Mark 16:18; Isaiah 53:4,5; Matt. 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24).
RESSURREIÇÃO DOS JUSTOS E A VOLTA DE NOSSO SENHOR
The book of Acts 1:11 says, “… This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw him go into heaven“. The Bible teaches that return of Jesus Christ to earth is imminent. When He comes, “… The dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air …” (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17). Jesus Christ shall return to earth after the Tribulation as King of kings, and Lord of lords, and He shall reign a thousand years with His followers, who shall be kings and priests (Revelations 1:6 / 5:10 / 20:6).
The Bible clearly teaches that an indescribable doom awaits the person who dies without hope in Jesus Christ and is therefore hopelessly and eternally lost in the lake of fire. They thus have no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting. The lake of fire described in the Bible is literal. Jesus said that hell was not created for man but for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41). However, if a person rejects salvation through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ then the Bible clearly states that they will go to an eternal hell. (Hebrews 9:27 / Rev. 19:20).
MULHERES NO MINISTÉRIO
There is no scriptural prohibition concerning women in ministry. (Acts 18: 24-26 / Acts 21: 8-9 / Galatians 3:28 / Romans 12:4-6).
